family-built with purpose
A peaceful, off-grid retreat where guests can truly disconnect to reconnect. Every stay supports the revitalization of our family’s historic cunucu (farmland), helping to preserve Aruba’s cultural heritage and natural beauty through conscious, regenerative tourism.

NATU was born from a shared dream: to create a place where people can slow down, reconnect with nature, and experience the simple beauty of off-grid living — without sacrificing comfort. Together with our family, we built this retreat by hand, with much care for the land that we call home. At NATU we believe that a different way of travelling is possible, one where we give back more than we receive.
As an eco-boutique Camp, NATU is committed to protecting and regenerating the traditional Aruban cunucu it calls home. This by offering guests meaningful, authentic experiences that leave both the land and the heart better than we found them.
One of our first regenerative projects, “Ban Planta” ("Let’s Plant"), brought our vision to life. Surrounded by family and friends, we planted our first tamarind and mango trees beside two old mispel trees — right next to Isla. We are excited to see this cunucu filled with shade and fruit again one day!
NATU proudly collaborates with local entrepreneurs and residents who share our mission, strengthening community ties and promoting sustainable development. By raising awareness around conscious travel, clean energy, and the importance of protecting Aruba’s natural, cultural, and historical heritage. We aim to inspire lasting impact — for our guests, for Aruba, and for future generations.

At NATU, we believe in making investments that truly matter. This belief extends to the furniture and decor in our tents, each piece crafted with care and purpose by
talented artisans from Africa.
NATU’s furniture is custom-designed and handmade by a collective of skilled carpenters in Cape Town with attention to every detail. The flowing mosquito net by a local seamstress — completes the bed — giving it both beauty and purpose. A soft, cocoon-like mosquito free cloud to rest on.
Rather than purchasing from mass-producing factories, we chose to invest in talented local artisans who truly benefit from this support. Designed in collaboration with Luciana, each item adds a distinctive and personal touch to your stay.
All our pillows are crafted by a family of upholsterers. Mohammad, a father working alongside his son and daughter in their workshop in Cape Town. Their dedication and craftsmanship are evident in every stitch, ensuring both comfort and quality.
The beautiful baskets and lampshades in our tents are handmade by a community in the rural area of Blantyre, Malawi. These items were sourced through Bonny and Elizabeth, a couple from Blantyre, who sell these handcrafted pieces. These items not only enhance the aesthetic of our tents, but also support the livelihoods of the artisans who create them.
